The music of half alive breathes, evolves, grows, and changes alongside the lives of the Long Beach trio--Josh Taylor [vocals], Brett Kramer [drums], and J Tyler Johnson [bass]. half alive officially came to life on the 2017 3 EP, which sparked a palpable buzz on the strength of "The Fall" and "Aawake At Night". Over the course of the next year, they crafted what became their massive breakout single "still feel." which has been RIAA certified Gold, rocketed into the Top 10 at Alt Radio and has over 285 million worldwide streams to date.
Since then, the band has released two full-length albums, were named YouTube's Artist on the Rise, have had multiple Top 20 Alt Radio singles, performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! And The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, secured a spot in Vevo's DSCVR class and showcased their incredibly creative artistry at NPR's Tiny Desk with the outlet calling them "a band with a clear vision and gift for design, not just in the earworms they write, but in their entire presentation."
With help from incredible collaborators like choreographers and creative partners Jordan Johnson and Aidan Carberry, otherwise known as JA Collective, half alive have completed three headlining tours across the United States, EU and UK, supported Twenty One Pilots on a massive arena tour and have graced major festival stages like Outside Lands, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Celebrated for their cutting-edge choreography and visual presentations both on and off the stage, the band has quickly become the definition of a must-be-seen to be believed act.

You can tell how happy they are to be there, the energy is great!
We loved seeing Half Alive in concert! The venue was great and we were pretty close to the stage. In my opinion, there was too much opener and not enough of the band we came to see. By the time Half Alive was through 3/4 of their songs, my companion was worn out from so much standing (this was their first standing-concert) and was dehydrated and we ended up leaving early. Which was a bummer, since we didn’t get to see the band we went there to see. The first opener was good; the second one was too much. These are just my thoughts. I imagine several others had a great time the entire night. For us, there was just too much opener and not enough Half Alive.
Great show, they handed out water, one employee named Anthony was really exceptional and was so friendly and helpful. Had a great time!
I saw Half•Alive last Saturday at The Union in Salt Lake, this was my 4th H•A concert and they just keep getting better. They put on such an incredible show—full of energy, creativity, and incredible musical talent. The live music was flawless, the dancing was awesome and the whole experience left me feeling happy. There’s something about their presence that’s so uplifting, and their energy absolutely shines through in their performance. It was a night I won’t forget, and I already can’t wait to see them again.
this is SUCH a fun concert! amazing music, heartfelt performances both singing and choreography! Even better live than they are on their records. so so so good!!
Half Alive was simply incredible. Truly amazing performers. Every song as if you're listening from the album itself. Impressive. All around. Stage dive action was also incredible!! My son loved it. I loved it. Perfect concert.
Half Alive brings incredible creativity and depth to their concerts. From their stagehand vacuuming prior to the show to their finale, half alive engages with their audience from start to finish. You can tell they love what they do and their arrangements are both memorable and fresh. Loved every minute. Was disappointed with The Walters. Clearly out of sync with each other, the lead singer was too high to positively interact with his band or the audience while their drummer looked as tho he might fall asleep at any moment. Great music, not great stage presence. And certainly not for all ages as advertised. Mehro was amazing and was thoughtful to thank the crew, his band and the audience multiple times. Classy in comparison to the Walters. Half Alive sets the bar high on class, tho.
It was amazing. I had a great time. Great atmosphere, and the music was great. Only bad part was the fact that I didn't get enough sleep. Make the concert earlier next time so I can go to bed early. I only got 12 hours
half.alive is a band whose music has literally saved my life, so seeing them live was life-changing. The concert was fantastic, and I would have really enjoyed it even without knowing who they were. But, as someone who has enjoyed, connected with, and really loved their music for years now, I am SO blessed and glad that I got to see them in concert. The Fillmore Auditorium was a fantastic venue for them to tour in, with some extra space for people to dance/move around to the music, and the vibe overall was enchanting. I will forever cherish Friday, April 25, 2025 as a night that influenced and impacted my musical self forever. Thank you for the experience, half.alive!
