Great band super tight from blast off til landing!
Excellent show and I loved how I really felt appreciated as an audience member by the band
Got to White Oak @1845. Paid $30 for parking. Got a text @1859 for a free parking voucher that apparently came w the ticket. $30 for a shot and a beer. Waiting around two hours for the opener to play. Suffering through whatever that was. Glass Beams go on later than expected. They did their thing, but it wasn’t enjoyable after all of that. Left early because the overall experience was not fun.
Absolutely AMAZING Show! I was beyond thrilled that they chose SA to be a part of their tour! The stage and the vibe was set, and the Mahal journey began. Please come back to SA!🍄🍄🍄
Absolutely loved Glass Beams the other night!!! Short show but it was amazing!!!
Been really looking forward to see these three young men live and they didn't disappoint. I was especially hoping they would perform their cover of the classic Shanjarit Singh track and they delivered epically! Such a great trio, musically tight and emotive. Also nice they had copies of both EP's (Mirage and Mahal) for sale on vinyl at their merchandise stand. Priced a little high for essentially a 12 inch single at $35 each but glad to have them. Parking was $28 per vehicle which again we thought was expensive but what was really annoying is that the parking attendant billed us twice! It is card only payment and no receipt given so now we are having to dispute the charge with our bank. White Oak Music Hall is a pretty good venue to visit but any kind of support from someone ahead of a gig seemed impossible.
I loved every minute of it. They’re a truly unique band and I cannot wait to see how they’ll evolve. Will definitely be seeing their events in the future
We saw Glass Beams at the Echo Lounge in Dallas, Texas. It was a fantastic show. I wanted a nice venue and was hoping the sound was good. It wasn’t good, it was AMAZING. I had a wonderful time and will see this band again NO DOUBT.
Glass Beams delivered an incredible performance, even though they started much later than expected. Unfortunately, the opening act was a disappointment. The sound setup for the opener was poorly managed—no one could hear what the artist was saying, and the music didn’t fit the vibe of the event. It felt disconnected from the energy that the main act later brought. For future shows, I hope the organizers prioritize better sound checks for openers and ensure the opening act aligns with the tone of the headliner to maintain a seamless concert experience.
Glass Beams themselves are fantastic and put on an excellent show as expected. Their music is gorgeous. Opening act was alright for what it was, but a curious pairing with the headliner. The 40-minute wait between sets was way too long though. The Observatory was awesome. Pretty venue (converted from an old church). The restrooms were clean and attended. The security team was even friendly and chill. Nearby parking garage was validated. We stood 12 feet from the stage and the volume clocked 106 dB. Bring hearing protection. Points of improvement: the bar needs to have more than one hazy IPA and offer some sort of NA beer, like Lagunitas IPNA or many other offerings. Especially in a craft beer capital such as San Diego, where there are more options than you can shake a stick at, only having one IPA option and nothing non-alcoholic for my designated driver was kinda disappointing. Bar staff was great though. All in all, if the bar selection was better and the intermission wasn’t longer than the opening act herself, this would have been the perfect show in literally every way.
