Inter Miami CF History

Inter Miami CF partially originated when English footballer David Beckham became the first big-name international star to sign to MLS (with the LA Galaxy in 2007). He was given the option of purchasing an expansion team once his playing days were over. Inter Miami CF is not just the product of Beckham exercising that option, but also of a concerted effort by the Miami Beckham United Group to bring an MLS team back to South Florida following the short-lived Miami Fusion from 1997 to 2002.

In the middle of the 2023 season, Inter Miami CF landed one of the most coveted free agent signings in professional soccer when decorated Argentine forward Lionel Messi joined the team on a lucrative two-and-a-half-year deal. Despite missing MLS Cup contention, Miami soared through the 2023 Leagues Cup behind Messi’s tournament-best 10 goal performance on their way to claiming their first championship.

  • Great game, great result

by RMarsch on 4/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Vendors only took cards. I’m 53 and believe cash is king which was not accepted so no food/drinks for me as I didn’t have a card. Look, I’ve been a season ticket holder since the 1970s strikers and have been trying to attend affordable games which has been impossible with the addition of Messi. Oh boy, I love him and his patriots, but the jacked up price hurts my feelings as a real fan. Strikers (Hudson, Cabillas), Fusion (Valderrama, Serna), Miami FC, new Strikers (I was even going to the Central Broward Stadium), Well I guess I’m looking for mutual appreciation. I can’t afford one ticket anymore. Which I think is sad.

  • Wonderful game however « floppy » chairs

by Alex on 4/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

We had an amazing time at the Inter Miami vs LA game. However, soccer is not the most popular sport in the US, therefore fan enthusiasm and the host involvement could have been better. Also, even though the chairs were comfortable to sit in, as soon as the people in front of us got up or sat down too quickly, drinks spilled from the cup holders towards us multiple times. The yellow parking lot, although very spacious and convenient, could use some some asphalt or improvement since it had rained and it was very muddy.

  • Easy to do it

  • Once in a lifetime

by Dubbs on 4/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Watching Messi was a once in a lifetime opportunity for my children. The HYPE is real! He is as advertised.

  • Superb experience, saw the GOAT!

by Rahul on 4/3/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent experience overall! The stadium was clean and well maintained, the atmosphere was really good, my seats were amazing! The concession stands were also good and had a variety of snacks. Schedule was on time and accessibility to the area was clearly marked and people were ready to guide! Highly recommended experience for anyone who is a football fan!

  • Amazing Return by Messi.

by Futbol is life!!! on 4/1/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing game played by an amazing into Miami team in an amazing stadium. My son and I have been into Miami fans for the past four or five years and we’ve seen messy play four or five times and score upward towards 10 goals. Between him and some of the seasoned Barcelona players that came with him or came to into Miami their games are nothing but electric.

  • Soccer Game against Charlotte

by Gent on 3/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

So disappointed. I flew to the Chase Stadium with my son just to see Messi playing and he didn’t had the chance to play due to injury for three week. This was one in a lifetime opportunity since we came from Canada for this game. Disappointed

  • High price

by JtoTheL on 3/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

So InterMiami can’t keep charging Messi prices if he’s not gonna play. They won the game, but it’s our second we’ve attended and Messi didn’t play, despite the Messi premium. Water was super expensive too, which should come down in price if the weather is hot enough to have mandatory hydration breaks for the players. No shade and super expensive water with no place to refill and not allowed to bring your own in. Ripoff central.

  • Great vibe, nice facilities, confusing to enter

by Haja on 3/12/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

We suggest to provide more clarity on which recommended gate to use based on section number since it is not possible to circle around the entire stadium. This will avoid long walks and being late to get to the seats.

  • Great experience except parking

    by IMFan1256 on 3/9/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Great experience at the stadium once we were actually through the entrance gates. The parking disorganization is a huge issue. No accountability from one person to the next. They are all so confused and each person says something different and pushes you to the next attendant. It took us 45 minutes to find the right lot, and that is only because the parking supervisor had to get involved and just resolved it. Get your parking attendants trained, Chase Stadium!! Horrible way to start the game experience!

  • The stadium is not suitable for this kind of events

by MGA on 3/9/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

The game was not great, but that was expected. It was a matter of having a good time and cheering the local team. But what made the experience terrible is the fact that the stadium is not prepared to host the large crowd. Parking organization is terrible, which makes a traffic jam miles in advance.

  • Excellent atmosphere

by Richard on 3/9/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Like the place and the good vibes on the fans!! They were chanting and singing all game!!

  • Game great - hours getting in and out sucked

by Inter traffic nightmare on 3/9/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Traffic management around the stadium left MUCH to be desired. On site parking access is a single point, making the entire process very slow and frustrating. Coordination with Inter and off site parking operations could help off help to make additional options become safe (for walking - nobody helping pedestrians cross any of the streets) and easily utilized. After the game one of the two freeway access points was completely cut off by poorly timed light repairs. Everyone again was funneled into very frustrating and slow traffic pattern out of the stadium and surrounding parking areas. Then construction marking (without any evident construction led to more delays heading south on 95. Broward county reminded us why it is better to watch the game on TV. Sad, as the actual stadium experience was great.

  • GREAT EVENT, TERRIBLE PARKING ORGANIZATION

by Caro on 3/1/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed so much the event. It was my first soccer game and the first time I saw Messi. I stayed until the end of the match. Getting out of the parking was a mess. There was no one planning and organized exit for such large amount of cars. Hope you fix it soon.

  • Great soccer

by Awesome soccer exoerience on 3/1/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The facility in Fort Lauderdale was fantastic. It was a great game! Only drawback is the parking?

  • Great seat, disappointed with no pre game activities

by Sub on 2/28/25Chase Stadium - Fort LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Had a great seat, close to the ground and saw Messi warming up so close which was amazing! Disappointed as there were no sponsor related fun activities and no free goodies similar to what we experience during MLS games. Also there was no post game party just like they do in MLS games!

Excellent event. We have had a very funny night!! Thank you!
