Columbus Crew History
The Columbus Crew holds the distinction of being introduced in 1994 as the first of 10 inaugural MLS clubs. In 1999, the club further etched its place in American sports history when it played its first game at the former Historic Crew Stadium, the country's first major-league stadium built specifically for soccer.
On the pitch, the team's first trophy came in 2002, when the Black & Gold won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Crew's first MLS Cup trophy came in 2008 with the team also securing the Supporters' Shield that season led by Argentine midfielder Guillermo Barros Schelotto. The midfielder won the league's MVP award in 2008, and he wrapped things up that season by assisting on all three of the Crew's goals in their victory over the New York Red Bulls in the MLS Cup final. The Crew followed that up by winning the Supporters' Shield in 2009.
In the 2020 season, the club focused on competing globally with the signing of players like Lucas Zelarayan and Darlington Nagbe to add quality, and coupled with veteran talent like Gyasi Zardes team captain Jonathan Mensah, the Crew took home their second-ever MLS Cup trophy. Zelarayan, who had been named the 2020 MLS Newcomer of the Year, registered two goals and one assist against Seattle Sounders FC 3-0, also securing 2020 MLS Cup MVP honors. In 2023, Columbus hoisted the MLS Cup for a third time behind an MVP performance by forward Cucho Hernández.

What a great time at the game! The new stadium is phenomenal with plenty of dining/drinking options. Lines are never too long. Bathrooms are clean and in general, it is so well maintained. The Crew are SO fun to watch. Even if you're not a soccer fan, you should go!
The new stadium is pretty nice and accommodates nicely for large crowds. Bathrooms are big and CLEAN. The stadium seats were not comfy but had plenty of room. They have so many checkout options and booths for you to get any alcoholic beverages and have a even faster check out process. I honestly didn't have to stand and wait more than 5 minutes anywhere. Which is a huge plus if you are actually trying to enjoy the game. I don't watch soccer habitually, but I sure will be back to enjoy this stadium and watch the Columbus Crew! If you haven't, check it out!
Great stadium, outstanding staff, wonderful experience watching the Crew win!
Atmosphere was like a Browns Game except the crowd was happier and younger. I have been a Browns season ticket holder since the Browns came back into the League.
Tickets worked well , very easy to use. Th process were steep but the memories were priceless.
Positives: Great night of soccer at Huntington Bank in Cleveland vs. Inter Miami. Family friendly atmosphere. Fans well behaved. Great action. Negatives: Food prices way too expensive. Parking was also expensive and far from stadium. Leaving downtown Cleveland took forever. Need to lower ticket prices and also include a food package for families.
It was a great experience. Several fan picture areas and giveaways. Plenty of food vendors. The kickoff activities were fun and unique. The halftime community was good but too long time wise. Either have better color commentating or use cameras to project to jumbotron.
Great event! Highest attendance in that stadium for a non- NFL event. I am glad I could be part of it. The crowds were large and the weather was rainy but that didn’t stop the crowd from cheering until the final bit of the game. The whole family really enjoyed their time at this event!
A very pleasant and family friendly environment. The energy was next level, just an all around great time.
