About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • What a night!!

by Jenn on 7/30/24Piedmont Hall - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time FINALLY seeing boys like girls live after 20 years. They were gone for a bit but man are they BACK! Martin sounds just even better live as he does on the tracks. Can't wait to hear their new stuff and see them again in the future. Their opening act Grayscale were great also! So fun!

  • Amazing show

Amazing Show. These guys rock and sound as good as they did 15 years ago. Played all the hits and their new music. Just a great concert!

  • Amazing Show! Would 100% go back!

Such a great performance. Great at engaging with the audience- music was awesome. It really took me back to my middle school days lol

  • A night I didn’t know I so badly needed!!

by Bri on 7/30/24Piedmont Hall - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

This show truly took me back to early 2000s in the best and most epic way. It was a night I didn’t know I needed so badly. Both BLG and Grayscale were absolutely amazing. 1000/10 recommend!

  • BLG was BIG

by Jimmy Ramone on 7/29/24House of Blues Myrtle Beach - North Myrtle BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Opening band Grayscale was better than I expected. Kudos to them. Glad to see Philly has some good music coming out of it again. BLG was fantastic. They sounded great. Interaction with the crowd was super. They must have gone through 100 picks. Half of which was them trying to flick them to the upper level. They covered the music of their entire 20 years which was awesome. Highlight of the evening was the end. After The Great Escape and a second go round of Love Drunk. The band left the stage except Martin who stayed and did Two is Better Than One. Up with the house lights. This show was worth every penny.

  • Hands down the best show ever!

by Maddie on 7/28/24Music Farm - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to tons of concerts/festivals over the past 20yrs. This was the best show I’ve ever been to. We got there early to get a spot at the stage and it was totally worth it. They used the entire stage and didn’t just stand in one spot. Crowdwork was amazing and felt very personal. There was something euphoric about seeing the band I’ve been following since I was in 8th grade in 2006. Played almost their entire discography. They put on one hell of a show!

  • Such a fun night!

Love these kinds of shows where the band really gets to interact with the audience!

  • Blown Away!!!

by Kira on 7/16/24Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 5 out of 5

I've been listening to Boys Like Girls since the beginning of their career. They totally rocked this show. They played just about every one of their songs. I was in the second row and I felt like I was on stage with them. They were playing their hearts out. The boys are just simply amazing. You could tell they loved being up their together playing their music. I loved it. I'd go see them again in a heartbeat

  • BLG ROCKS!

The entire concert they had the crowd pumped up and everyone was having such an amazing time! They were amazing to see and I hope to be able to go see them again, it was an absolute amazing time with my husband, my son and my friend!! My son even got the tambourine near the end!

  • Amazing show!!!

by Gina on 12/30/23Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing Boys Like Girls and as always, they did not disappoint. This was such an amazing show!! Loved the setlist, which included a good mix of songs from their first three albums, a few from their new album (which hadn't been released at the time that I saw them), and even brief snippets from some of their unreleased songs. Great interaction with the crowd too. I can't wait to see them again! Would highly recommend!
