Amaarae is a Ghanaian-American singer from the Bronx, New York. Melding pop and R&B with Afrobeats and Alté, the artist creates a wholly unique sonic palette on projects like her 2017 debut EP, Passionfruit Summers. With her debut album, 2020’s The Angel You Don’t Know, Amaarae earned her breakout hit on charts across the globe thanks to the Moliy collaboration “Sad Girlz Luv Money.” The Afropop banger went viral on TikTok after Kali Uchis jumped on the official remix, and scored Amaarae her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as her first Top 10 hit on the World Digital Songs Sales chart. The singer’s sophomore album (and major-label debut after signing with Interscope Records), Fountain Baby, was released in the summer of 2023 and featured singles “Reckless & Sweet,” “Co-Star” and “Wasted Eyes.”

    I had the opportunity to see Amaarae at the Buckhead theater. First, I love this venue! They always do a great job at keeping the A/C on and organizing VIP and General Admission. Amaarae and her opening act started their sets on time and ended the show a little past 10:30pm. It was very easy to buy merch and find parking—there’s a parking garage next to the building. We were never kept waiting for long and with the VIP ticket I was able to meet her about 15 minutes after the show. She’s an awesome performer who is considerate of her supporters.

    This concert was amazing! Amaarae's performance was timely and so good. She even stopped the concert to make sure everyone in the crowd was doing okay! I think she deserved a bigger venue the concert room was a bit packed but aside that it was an amazing concert. Looking forward to a longer concert from her!

    Amaarae absolutely KILLED her performance and 1000% exceeded my expectations!! She had such a commanding stage presence and owned the stage like she built it! She had so much swagger throughout the whole show I literally saw the star power radiating off her & the VOCALSSSSSS - BABY THE MIC WAS MOST DEFINITELY ON! The band (of literally only 2 people) was amazing too they carriedddd!!!! I had so so so so much fun and danced the whole time! She picked great songs for the setlist and kept the show rolling the whole time with high energy and really PERFORMED! She looked like she was having a blast on stage and that made me want to dance and sing even louder for her! RUNNNNNN to ticket master and see her in your city if you can, you will NOT be disappointed!

    Amaarae performed soooo freaking well. She gave us drama and vocals. I'm a bit bias cause that is my favorite person in the world. She's literally my GOAT. Love her sooooooo much.
