About

Todd Rundgren on Tour

Fans never know what to expect from a Todd Rundgren show, which is a testament to his range as a musician. For example, his "The Individualist, A True Star" tour was named so because of its unique format: Along with a set of hits, Rundgren also performed a side of his seminal 1973 LP A Wizard, a True Star. In cities with multiple shows booked, the musician played a different side of the album each night.

No matter where Rundgren's creative muse takes him on a given tour, what stands out is his voice — an instrument that can handle both growling rock and blue-eyed soul — and his charismatic stage presence. Thanks to this versatility, Rundgren has also toured as part of Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band and, as a solo artist, opened for Hall & Oates and teamed up with Joe Jackson for a co-headlining tour. In 2019, he joined forces with the Monkees' Micky Dolenz, Christopher Cross and Badfinger's Joey Molland for the "It Was Fifty Years Ago Today – A Tribute to the Beatles' White Album" tour.

Todd Rundgren in Concert

Todd Rundgren first broke into the music business in the late '60s with the band Nazz, for whom he wrote "Open Your Eyes" and "Hello It's Me." He then released several solo albums, including 1972's Something/Anything? (which featured a re-recording of "Hello It's Me") and then founded the rock band Utopia, a group that drew on prog, power-pop and new wave. In 1983, Rundgren released one of his best-known songs, "Bang the Drum All Day."

In addition to his own work, Rundgren is also a well-respected studio artist who's produced albums for Hall & Oates, XTC, Psychedelic Furs and Meat Loaf. Rundgren has also continued to release solo albums, including 2017's White Knight, which featured guest spots from Robyn, Joe Walsh and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor.

  • What a Great Show with incredible talent

by Simply Fantastic on 4/26/25Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

First of all my Wife and I are really bummed. This was the last show of the Tour. If there were other shows, we would get tickets straight away no matter where this incredible show was performing. The whole night was simply marvelous. Each song was performed as good or better than our memories of the original performances. The Musical talent on stage was fantastic. We were literally crying in joy listening to songs that meant so much to each of us growing up as 5 to 10 year old's when our parents would play the albums on the big old wooden console. Hats off to Todd for putting this all together and making such an memorable evening. Special shout out to the drummer. She is truly a Female Phil Collins. She has the beat and an angelic voice. I hope that this tour was recorded as it would be on my playlist.

  • Todd Rundgren / Burt

by Rich from Delray on 4/26/25Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Well I’ve seen Todd several times and this show was once again awesome! Todd and the band put together performance which will go down as one of the best TR shows. Everyone’s vocals were spot on. It was a group performance which I’m glad I saw.

  • Mixed bag

by Bb on 4/26/25Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Todd Rundgren was horrible. The other singers and musicians were very good. T. R. has no business singing. His voice is gone.

  • Extraordinary Amazing Talent

I have been following Todd all the way back to Nazz. This Tour was unlike any I have seen and Burt Bacharach was also an amazing Talent during his life and long career. The cast of musicians for this venue were AMAZING! Please come back again. Just Loved everything about it. Thank You All.

  • Not enough Todd

by Tami on 4/1/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

Although it was made clear that Todd wasn’t going to be the only person singing - in my opinion it would have been a much more enjoyable show if Todd and Kas were the only singers. I did not enjoy the other singers. That doesn’t mean they were not all talented individuals - it’s just that when I pay that much for a ticket I want to see/hear someone I care for and who I’m familiar with.

  • Todd Rundgren/Burt Bacharach Songbook

by Baby Boomer 1954 on 3/29/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing performances of the legendary Burt Bacharach's hits. If you grew up in this era of music, it's a must-see show. Enjoyed every minute of it!!!

  • Tone it down!

by Pook on 3/28/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 5 out of 5

"What the World Needs Now"was a wonderful experience. Covers of decades of Burt Bacharach's great music by very, very talented performers. However, everyone in my party agreed that the sound mix was way to loud, at times distorting both vocals and instruments. Burt doesn't require a boom box

  • Always Great!
