  • So good

by Blablablabla on 3/12/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I gained a new perspective with this performance. The only thing I didn’t like was someone came out randomly after the first part of the show before intermission inviting people to donate or become a sponsor for children in hunger. I feel like that could have been reserved at the beginning or the end of the show.

  • “The Thorn” Live Theatrical Production

by Joy on 3/12/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The live stage version of The Thorn is absolutely EXCELLENT! The man who plays the Disciple John, (and who tells the story of the life and death of Jesus,) is incredible! I felt like I had entered a Time Machine and gone back to the days when Jesus walked the earth. This is a very emotional reenactment, (akin to the movie The Passion,) and some scenes may be inappropriate for younger children who can’t understand what they’re seeing. I was pleased that the story followed actual Bible teaching, and I experienced every possible emotion, from laughter to tears and everything in-between. As an avid follower of The Chosen, I understood every part of this show. I wonder, however, if others who are less educated about Scripture and Bible teaching, understood what they were seeing. However, John narrated well, and most should’ve been able to follow what was happening by following his stories. The music was outstanding, as was the costuming. The special effects with the lighting was on point, and the storyline flowed beautifully. I wish I could go back and see it again, only this time…I’d wear water-proof mascara! The depiction of Christ’s last three days was heart-breaking on every level.I didn’t see a dry eye amongst anyone sitting near us. THANK YOU for bringing this factual, realistic depiction of the world’s greatest love story to audiences everywhere. As a side note, the theater chairs in The Music Hall at Fair Park, were the most comfortable I have ever experienced. The entire experience was flawless. I can’t recommend this stage production enough.

  • Breathtaking!!!

by Tammy on 3/12/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

It moved me to the core!!! It had everything in it! Once the time to when Jesus get whipped and nailed to the cruz, i don’t think there was one dry eye in the room. You feel every whip every hit I couldn’t stop crying. I was reminded very quickly of how much he scarified for our sins. I highly recommend!!!!

Good act, great narrative. Objective of getting believers to reflect on the love of God i believe is acheived. A good reminder to us to carry on the good news to the rest of the world as instructed by the master. I was blessed by the show.

Cool presentation of the life of Christ. Modern and different from anything we have ever seen. Love how they instilled music, dancing, and acrobatics throughout the show. The portrayal of the beginning of time, Adam & Eve, and spiritual warfare was powerful. We loved it.

by Anita Martir Rivera on 3/11/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I surprised my children and I to our first ever Thorn production and wow. I was mesmerized throughout the entire production. The acting, actors, performance, lights, dance, script was A+ 100%. I went to the March 8th 2023 performance in Dallas, Texas which also landed on my birthday. Thank you Thorn for making my birthday extra special.

  • The Thorn

by Bren on 3/11/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

The Thorn was good. What took away from the performance was the venue. I wish that the doors would have been closed at 7:00 and no late entry allowed. People were arriving 20-40 minutes late into the performance with their flashlight on their phones trying to find their seats. People were taking their phones out and taking pictures even though they were told not to. This took away from the performance overall.
