Born Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson in Mesquite, Texas, Alyssa Edwards is the chosen stage name of the tv personality and drag performer. According to the "RuPaul's Drag Race" Wiki, Edwards is considered to be a Drag Race legend in the community, as one of the only queens to make an appearance on RuPaul's podcast "What's the Tee?" and coining iconic terms like "Rigga Morris" and "Backrolls." The stage name originated from Johnson's youth where he took a liking to Alyssa Milano from the television show "Who's the Boss." Johnson adopted the last name of his early mentor and drag mother, Laken Edwards. Away from the stage, Edwards is perhaps best known for being a small business owner and dance studio operator, running the famed Beyond Belief Dance Company in his hometown. The studio was featured on Netflix's original docuseries "Dancing Queen" (which features Edwards, who is also credited as a director of the show). Edwards is also known for his appearance on "The Bachelorette." Edwards' dance company also competed twice on "America's Got Talent" where the group reached the quarter finals of the competition both times.
Alyssa is one of my all-time favorites from RPDR so getting tix to her show was a no-brainer. She is funny and loved her storytelling. She seemed very genuine during her show. I wished it was a bit longer but overall enjoyed her performance! đ
Alyssa Edwards is worth every penny, however.... Paying for the VIP gold package then having to wait over an hour in the 90 degree heat & 50% humidity just to get INSIDE was unacceptable. We were all literally melting in full makeup & rhinestones. All because they "didn't have enough security!?;?"No ma'am. HOB needs to step their bussy up majorly. Alyssa Edwards deserves better for her fans.

Alyssa Andrews' gave an electrifying performance. Costumes were divine. Her lip-sync was spot on. She is also absolutely hilarious. I sang. I laughed. I danced, as much as I was able in my wheelchair. My husband had a wonderful time as well. I will 100% be coming back to see her any time she comes to town, and hopefully it will be at the Bijou. The employees at the Bijou were also amazing. The ladies that operated the wheelchair lift were so sweet to us. Everyone, from the bartenders to the ushers, were friendly, smiling and courteous. I love coming to the Bijou for events.
Ahe is a great story teller. I enjoyed how she entertained us from the first and her interaction with the crowd
Alyssaâs performance in lip sync and dance numbers were great. But the majority of the show was her talking. I wanted to be entertained!
Alyssa was late. Her performances were weak and she rambled for about 20 minutes. I was bored and left before the end of the show.

Alyssa Edwards! I was just excited to be in the room with her but she was so sweet, talented, funny and quick to boot. I love her so much and she was a joy to behold in person. Earth angel.
