  • Fun show left me in a good "mood"

by Spobgerob on 3/4/25Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

What a fun show. We went in with no expectations and left wanting more. John Lodge and band were tight and sounded great. We heard a lot of the greats by the Moody Blues and the entire 'Days of Future Past' album. He told some good stories to go along with some of the psychedelic 60's best. And as always, the Genesee Theater in Waukegan is a great venue. If there's a bad seat, I haven't say in it. The sound is always clear, the seats are comfy and they don't take advantage of you at the bar. Thanks!

  • An incredible come back

  • Lots of fun

by Gazzoo on 3/4/25Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 4 out of 5

I'm "Moody Blues Biased", so even before I got to the concert I anticipated / planned on having a great time. So I did! MANY of the songs were wonderfully performed. It did start out a bit slow, and John's voice isn't quite the same as it had been in the past. That said, we had fun, and yes I would go again.

  • Great Memories

What a bunch of great memories! Lodge gave his all and it was appreciated! Did not feel cheated and expectations were fulfilled.

  • Great Show

by Cobradude on 3/4/25Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

I have followed the Moody Blues since they formed in the 1960’s. This show was as good as any of the others I have attended! John Lodge (81) still can bring it, as well as his current band mates. I thought that I was hearing the whole Moody Blues group again!

  • Just go with me here

by Raven Gemini on 3/4/25Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

Ok, Ticketmaster, I am the LAST person you actually want to ask for a review because I love John so much, I’d listen to him read the phone book. (Is that even a thing anymore?) That said: the band is very tight, the experience is great, and the Genesee theater is just as beautiful as everyone ever said it was. So it was a great night, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

  • Old crowd for an Old act-but great

by OLD on 3/4/25Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

I was impressed with John Lodge commitment to his act, especially after he told the audience of his recent stroke. Enjoyed hearing about the history of the band, and their performance of the entire Days of Futures Past album. Thought the London Philharmonic was in the venue.

  • Need to stagger the seats

by cama81z on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 3 out of 5

I wish that I could have seen the concert but being the seats aren't staggered the lady in front of me had huge hair and the man in front of my wife was very tall and never stopped talking to his partner. We just heard the music . The screens above could have had the concert on them so we all could see. . John was great but the venue not so much

  • Very enjoyable evening

by Donald52 on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I’ve seen this show and both times I found it very enjoyable and nostalgic. Very well done and Jon Davison (Yes) contributed greatly to the the show, as did the phenomenal musicians. John Lodge still has it and gave a stellar performance including great vocal and guitar skills as well as enjoyable animation and anecdotes. Well worth the trip and price. A very memorable evening.

  • A last hurrah!

by Aggie on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 3 out of 5

Big props go out to John Lodge, who at 81 and having suffered a recent stroke, brought the past to the present with a solid show at the Westbury Music Fair. The band was tight and professional and his son in law Jon Davison (lead vocalist of Yes) provided the chops on The Voice, Tuesday Afternoon and Nights in White Satin. Great songs by a great band!!!! Missing too many original members to rate higher than 3 stars but well worth the time.

  • Great Concert

by LCLI on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5

I've followed The Moody Blues for years and John Lodge, one of the last 2 remaining members of the band, did not disappoint. Not only is he a great performer, but he was very personable to the audience and kept the concert flowing with classic songs and dialogue. The second act, performing Days of Future Passed in its entirety, was pure pleasure. A must-see concert for anyone who enjoys the music of The Moody Blues, or great music in general

  • Nostalgic

by FranC on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 3 out of 5

The vocals were weak which was expected, but the music and anecdotes were filled with nostalgia. Most unfortunate was the venue! The acoustics were the poorest of any concert hall/arena I have ever attended in 65 years!

  • okay

by Dave on 3/1/25Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - WestburyRating: 3 out of 5

it was just okay . disappointed that the band never faced the left or right sections all we saw was their backs . :( also sound system was not clear more than once . Have been a regular for many years to this venue and not disappointed like this before.

Lodge is 81 (!) & suffered a stroke about a year ago but his playing & voice is there. Hit all the high notes & told good stories. Nice band & guest vocalist as well.

by Nick on 2/22/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

Great performance! Second half was the whole Days of Future Past. Will definitely see him again.

  • Moody Blue & Company still rocking

by pamguymax on 2/22/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 4 out of 5

John and has band really put together a great show, especially for Moody loyal fans. There was a great recreation of the beloved Days of Future Past where the parts played by The London Symphony Orchestra from 1969 were beautifully recreated. I did miss Justin Hayward's voice a bit.....
