  • TV Show Much Better

by Joe on 8/30/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Very poor attempt to make it a musical play. The stuck in an AI network plot was forced and lame. Most of the numbers had a redundant techno vibe that became boring after awhile. The entertainment at intermission was the highlight of the night. A lip sync challenge similar to the TV show with the audience voting on the winner of each contest would have been more enjoyable and engaging and would have provided the Queens with an opportunity to show their creativity. Another preferred format would be the Queens lip syncing to gay anthem songs similar to what you might see at a club but at a much more polished level. The DC show was the same day as the March on Washington and was the last show of the North American tour. I therefore expected RuPaul to make a cameo appearance since he should have been in town representing two minority groups at the March.

  • First half was meh, second was way better.

by Sarah on 8/29/23Rating: 3 out of 5

The seats we paid good money for had very poor visibility of the stage and were left looking at the screen all night. Don’t pay money for floor seating - complete waste and very disappointing. The first half of the show…painful - we almost walked out. The lip syncs were blatantly poor and improv-like, it was a very odd act. After intermission where they engaged the audience and the other acts came on was absolutely wonderful. Almost made me forget the first half even happened. When they said it was the last of their tour, I was floored, because it played as though it was a newer show they were all unfamiliar with. All in all, I love the queens and so glad I went to see all my favs, I think I had high hopes and should have adjusted my expectations a bit.

  • Great Show but Probably My Last WtW

by BoyandPiano on 8/29/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The show was great and all the queens really brought their A game to their performances. I was especially impressed with Bosco and Lady Camden, and I was so thrilled to see Kim Chi and Laganja live—I didn't even know Laganja was on the tour. Which brings me to why this will probably be my last Werq the World... the constant rotation of the lineup is frustrating. There was one queen I especially wanted to see who had been on the entire North American leg who dropped out for the last two shows (including the one I attended). On top of that, this was the second year in a row she was advertised but didn't come to my city. I understand this is the risk you run, the promoters make it clear, so I don't hold it against anyone, but I just can't take the let down anymore. As far as the venue, MGM National Harbor isn't my favorite but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as usual. And thankfully I didn't have to spend an hour looking for parking, which has happened to me before. I do wish more touring acts would come to Baltimore proper, but that's it's own issue. So, overall, if you're curious about Werq the World, it's worth the ticket—a very fun night with a lot of great routines and funny crowd interactions. Just don't get your hopes up too high for any Ru Girl in particular 'cause you might be disappointed.

by CP on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This show kept my attention to the degree that I was unaware of the time passing. The costumes were awesome. The storyline relevant. Great mix of Queens.

  • Rupaul RC Show was Aiight.....

by Shevandy on 8/29/23Rating: 3 out of 5

The Rupaul Drag Race show at Radio City was okay, was expecting to see Rupaul and some of the other well known entertainers. I did enjoy myself, but not to the level i thought. Thank you.

  • Simply !! Awesome

    by Dottie B. on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

DragQueens beautiful scenery was edgy I love me, some fog, set, decorations, phenomenal, and as for the queens themselves the performance was a Broadway /Vegas extravaganza. I met some queens that were not even on the stage in the audience took a picture with Miss Ava Rage gorgeous, I fit right in my Sequined too. I was waiting for RU!! That would’ve been my finale. I think I would’ve peed on myself. There would be no words love, love love the show. The outfit make me want to go out and try to buy one too me, some butt cheeks out that’s right up my alley. You all can do that split and that lay back.,One leg thing always gets me. Thank you for coming to DC. I can check you off my bucket. Yay!!!!

  • Definitely Not the Drag I Expectes

    by spkr4life on 8/29/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Attended the show at MGM National Harbor. Was super excited after seeing RuPauls Drag Race Live in Vegas. Let’s just say this show truly was a disappointment. The matrix story line was corny and just made no sense whatsoever. The overall production limited the true capabilities of the girls. I came to see the superstars I grew to love season after season and instead I got some modified version, just a glimpse of their true talent. I’m all for a big production, dancers, screens…here for it all but make it make sense. Best part of the show was definitely the 2nd half without question. I also don’t see the point in an intermission for a show that started 25 minutes late. If I could get a refund, I’d gladly accept it. Just not what I nor my friends were expecting. Again the girls are amazing but the producers of the show not so much.

  • BAD View with Platinum seats

by Will who has been to many Voss Events on 8/29/23Rating: 2 out of 5

I purchased Platinum seats which meant floor seating. I looked at the view on line and it was a view that showed the left side of the stage open to my view. When I arrived at my seat the view was from the side of the stage and what was directly in front of me was a wall with a big screen that I had to look up at most of the show to see the. I have been to over 30 Voss Events and this was by far the worst/most expensive seat that I have had.

  • Terrible lighting

by CR on 8/29/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The MGM theater was a terrible venue to watch the show. The lighting was awful and the flashing white light strips were blinding. I had to watch the screen rather than the stage for a lot of the show. The lighting may have been designed for an oval/bowl shaped theater rather than the rectangle we were in. Wouldn’t return to MGM for sure.

  • Great cast and plot. Not the ideal venu

    by M.Gord on 8/29/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I've to Werq the World for three or four tours now and have seen it in multiple cities. I enjoyed the show and the cast. I recognize it was near the end of the North American tour but felt some of the headliners should have been present in lieu of persons who have been on the tour multiple times. I believe the MGM venue is not my preferred venue as it brings a much larger non-LGBTQIA+ identifying crowd in comparison to perhaps a venue downtown that would be a great crowd of acceptance. The venue seems to be preferred based on availability, capacity, and monetary value, rather than the audience.

  • SLAYED!

by Lynnabg on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

  • The Girls Werked!

by Ray on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I've been going to werk the world for almost a decade now. And it just keeps getting better and better.

  • Awesome!!

by Kris on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I bought tickets for my daughter and her best friend. As I waited for them outside of Radio City Music Hall it put a smile on my face as every person that was leaving was smiling, dancing, and saying how great the show was! When the girls got to us I asked how was the Show? They looked at one another smiled and said “The Show was Life Changing!” “We can’t wait to go next year!”

  • Over stimulating

by Sharon on 8/28/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I had a great time but it was definitely over stimulating with shrinking lights

  • Wow wow wow

by Rescuelady on 8/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been waiting a long time for this show to come to my area. I was so incredibly excited to get my tickets in the orchestra to see the show not really knowing what to expect other than what id seen on TV From RuPauls drag race show. The venue is enormous and was packed. There was a DJ DRAG QUEEN playing music while we waited for the show to start .Once the show started it was a thrill packed ,crazy fast, exciting montage .The Queens had a theme they stuck to , and incorporated each queen into with unbelievable bright costumes and crazy lip syncing… it blew my mind!. Then after intermission a queen came out behind me and walked through the audience to chose two people and brought them on stage for a dance competition .fun, fun 🤩 The second act continued the story line and came to a amazing crescendo and finale with each queen introducing herself at the end. Dancing, singing, splits, laughs, jokes, it had it all and more it was one of the best shows I’ve attended and I see almost 60 shows a year. I’d recommend to every person, man ,women,. Old , young it’s a huge fun packed night you’ll never forget.
