Indiana Fever History

The Indiana Fever are a professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). After joining the league in 2000, the Fever qualified for their first postseason in 2002 and reached their first Finals in 2009. The Fever secured their first WNBA championship in 2012 behind a Finals MVP performance by 2011 WNBA MVP, five-time Defensive Player of the Year and 12-time All-Defensive Team selection Tamika Catchings. In 2015, the Fever appeared in their third Finals but fell to the Minnesota Lynx, 3-2. Between 2023 and 2024, the Indiana Fever ushered in a new era with back-to-back No. 1 draft picks and eventual Rookie of the Year winners Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark. The 2024 Fever snapped a seven-season playoff drought, while Clark led the league in assists, earned a spot on the All-WNBA First Team and won the Peak Performer honor for assists.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse was a great experience inside and out! There were lots of fun things to watch even during the timeouts! Even though we were in the top row of the balcony, we could see very well. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

  • Fever-Lonerty

by Redbaron on 5/27/25Gainbridge Fieldhouse - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Great game. Referees stunk. Pay them more so we don't get stuck with middle school refs making some summer money. Lack of foul calls and constant mugging the entire game contributed to Caitlin reaggravating her quad injury

  • Love the Fever!

The Fever vs Liberty was such an exciting game! Loved every second of it. Traveled pretty far but it was well worth it to see Caitlin Clark and the team take on last year's Champs. Will be back. Thank you Fever!!!
