About

The TOUR Championship is the final, week-long event of the PGA TOUR's FedExCup Playoffs. Established in 1987, the tournament has undergone many changes over the years and now features the top 30 golfers following two rounds of the FedExCup Playoffs. The event is held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, and became the crowning competition of the PGA TOUR season in 2007. On top of hoisting the FedExCup, TOUR Championship winners have historically received a sterling silver replica of Calamity Jane, the putter used by late golf legend and The Masters co-founder Bobby Jones. Tom Watson claimed the first TOUR Championship, while Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are tied for the most career wins at three each. The 2025 TOUR Championship will take place between August 19-24, 2025.

  • 1st round was great

My father in law and I had a great time at the 1st round of the 2009 Tour Championship. On Thursday you have a better change to see player closer than over the weekend. The grounds were on magnificent shape. East Lake is a 1st class course. Leaving in Atlanta, I am graceful that the last tournament is here ... thanks to Coca-Cola.

course conditions were excellent, considering the recent rains these guys aren't good, they're really good

  • Seeing the Pro's less than 5 feet away was INSANE!

My wife bought me a ticket to this PGA event for my birthday, which was the day of the event. It was absolutely unforgettable! While the course was in a not-so-great part of town, the course itself was immaculate! I have played this course on my Xbox, but never imagined I would be there someday. I had so much fun that I'm planning to take my wife back on Saturday to see the rest of the tournament!! Nate

  • One Word...Awesome!

East Lake played host to an incredible day of golf for the top 30 golfers of 2009. Despite the heavy rains that hit Atlanta this week, the course was in fabulous conditions. My son and I enjoyed seeing the golfers "up close and personal". Wish we could go back again...A great time and experience!

I was only in town for the Wednesday practice round and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The weather was not too hot and the sun was out. The course seemed to recover nicely from the heavy rains on Monday. The crowds were bearable as most people there were following Tiger and so was I. The staff and volunteers that I met were friendly and pleasant. The merchandise store was not as large as some of the other ones I have seen at other golf events but the selections were good. Overall I had a great time.

  • The expierence was electrifying!!

Being such a golf fan and having the opportunity to witness first hand some of the greatest players in the world was hard to swallow. The tournament was as exciting as it was built up to be and probably much more. Needless to say, the bulk of the gallary was around Tiger Woods and Steve Sticker which I was also part of, but what we saw was just a delight. Working my way around from other groups to enjoy play from everyone just added to a great day. East Lake I believe gives everyone excellent viewing ability from all sides on just about every hole which is not true with some tournaments. In all, everyone associated with this tournament deserves a big hand especially the grounds people in preparing the course for this season ending tournament just after all the rain that had fallen for the last few weeks. GREAT JOB.

  • Tour Championship an Ace

Went to Wednesday practice round at East Lake. This was a 1st time for me and my son to East Lake and an enjoyable experience. Atlanta has been hard hit by rain for well over a week, not sure if the East Lake area was hit at all since the grounds looked pristine. 30 top professional golfers, very relaxed atmosphere with autographs, picture opportunities and simply a great day.

  • PGA Fed Ex Cup at East Lake (Practice Round) 9/23

by fuskiegirl on 9/24/09East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Basically ticketmaster made it so easy for me to charge 10 tix to the practice round of the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake for my clients and myself. The practice round is where it is at. You can get so close to the players even get their autograph and picture. I highly recommend the practice round day to anyone. It is much more relaxed, less formal, less structured. I had a really fun day.
