About

The TOUR Championship is the final, week-long event of the PGA TOUR's FedExCup Playoffs. Established in 1987, the tournament has undergone many changes over the years and now features the top 30 golfers following two rounds of the FedExCup Playoffs. The event is held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, and became the crowning competition of the PGA TOUR season in 2007. On top of hoisting the FedExCup, TOUR Championship winners have historically received a sterling silver replica of Calamity Jane, the putter used by late golf legend and The Masters co-founder Bobby Jones. Tom Watson claimed the first TOUR Championship, while Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are tied for the most career wins at three each. The 2025 TOUR Championship will take place between August 19-24, 2025.

  • Best Tournament Ever

A tournament at East Lake is so well organized. Parking and bus shuttle very efficient - so easy to get around the course.

  • Great experience

A fantastic 4 days of golf on a great course. A few undercover bleachers for the general public in 2-3 places would be a big improvement, especially given the heat at this time of year in Atlanta. They were provided at both Memphis and Denver for the other 2 FedEx playoff events. Great climax to the 2024 PGA season.

  • Great tournament but isolated location.

by Steve on 9/4/24East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great golf on a magnificent course. However as an Australian visiting Castle Pines for the event, the isolated location was a problem. Only option were massively overpriced ride share companies twice a day. Drop off was OK but with only one location set aside for ride share, pickup was a disaster. Traffic backed up on the only road in for miles and ride share drivers were happy to accept large amounts of cash from desperate people who had started walking to cancel their booking, accept these people and do a u turn to get out out the chaos. On one night I was stranded with no way of getting back.

  • Not as great as years past

by Marty on 9/4/24East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Not sure if they will see this at Eastlake Golf Club, but the cutting of 200 trees since last year reduced the shade and the nice cozy experience of years past. It didn't really help the viewing experience and it is still very overcrowded in many sections. They didn't add any more paths. They definitely made the course easier for the players. The tournament also seems to have lost its luster with so many big name defections to LIV golf.

  • Unbelievable experience

The first thing I would like to say is this was the best run event Ive ever been to in my life ! The parking at 500 Hank Aaron Blvd was perfect with many busses running.. The drive was short and dropped off at the front door. The staff was excellent through the entire place . I am a amputee and all i have i say is the PFA tour really cares about us ! The ADA assistance was something out of this world, cart shuttles! excellent places to sit were something i wasn’t expecting and i am forever grateful it’s five star treatment , Peiole were complaining about it but the supervisors quickly shut that down . Thank you for caring so much . The fan shop was also amazing and the food was excellent . well worth the money paid . I’m very impressed and can’t wait to go again along with many other PGA events as we are living to Orlando soon . once again, Rhank you for caring so much for us disabled folks, You are the real deal !!

First time to EastLake and thoroughly enjoyed our day! Easy to walk and see so many great golfers! Best of all, quality time spent with my husband and son.

  • Too hot. Needs free stands.

by Rhysyboy on 9/3/24East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

this is about the 10th time I’ve visited this event and it was definitely the hottest. That’s part of it being August. But so much shade has been cut away that there were no good places to watch in the right places. Desperately needed free stands for the regular folks!

  • Great experience overall, need water stations

by GeorgiaGal on 9/3/24East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

This event was great except for no refillable water stations. The event allows you to bring in your empty reusable water bottle but does not provide a place or station to fill it. Having free available water would have made this event even better considering it was 90+ degrees outside.

  • Thirsty

by Mike on 9/3/24East Lake Golf Club - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

There needs to be more concessions on the course. The only drinks on the course were water and lemonade. No coke. Which is funny since coke is sponsoring the tournament. It’s hard to see the cups on green because they are above where the fans stand.

  • PGA CHAMPIONSHIP - Saturday round

Always a great venue. Great food options and people are generally friendly across the board. Bring an umbrella to combat the GA heat.
