About

Hailing from Seattle, The Dip is an electrifying seven-piece ensemble that melds vintage rhythm and blues with classic pop storytelling. Acclaimed by KEXP as "one of the most exciting and joyous acts to emerge in recent years," the band features frontman Tom Eddy's compelling vocals over an effortlessly deep pocket and energetic melodies from the three-piece Honeynut Horns.

Following the organic buzz of the 2015 debut, the band arrived on the international stage with their 2019 sophomore full-length, The Dip Delivers. Buoyed by the hit single "Sure Don't Miss You," the album was entirely recorded and mixed by the band in their own studio in Seattle - and has racked up over 50 million streams on Spotify alone, all via word of mouth and non-stop touring. An ambitious 2019 touring schedule took the band throughout North America (including several major festivals), Europe (supporting Durand Jones & the Indications), and Japan.

Now, the band will return to the road in 2022 with a full North American headline tour and a new label home, Dualtone Records, home of The Lumineers, Shakey Graves, Shovels & Rope, and more.

The band's new single, "Paddle to the Stars," is out now on Dualtone, and a new album is in the works. Stay tuned!

The crowd was so rude it was hard to even hear or enjoy the music. Talking and laughing throughout, taking selfies, recording the concert. Maybe I am an old fart but I go to a concert for the MUSIC, not to take photos of myself and talk through the whole concert.

  • Love The Dip

by ZookaZurg on 5/19/25Knitting Factory - Spokane - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

The Dip's musical style is a jazzy and upbeat. Love the musicians and the lyrics. They make the concert experience very enjoyable all around. Would also like to thank the for brining Parlor Greens to the show! Looking forward to seeing you in Spokane again!

  • Go see the Dip

by Concert lover on 4/26/25The Underground - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

The Dip are one of those bands where you honestly can’t believe they are in this time period. A 7 piece band with a singer with the blues and soul in his 30s?! Absolutely incredible. You can feel how much they love what they do!! If you ever can see them live, do it!

  • XL Live Harrisburg

    by Dubv76 on 4/18/25XL Live - HarrisburgRating: 5 out of 5

As always, The Dip never!! disappoints. The passion they pour into their music is felt in your toes. 3rd timing seeing them. They opened for the Teskey Brothers @Pier 6 awhile back and I had waited 11 years to see them (Teskey), after the show on the drive home. It occured to me I enjoyed The Dip more, maybe more my style even tho they are close in style. Needless to say, no slight to the great Teskey Brother's. But I found myself amazed at the The Dip, the band, horn section just feels seamless and effortless. I recommend seeing them at least once. They are playing with Red Clay Strays & Lake Street Drive coming up. Go see them!!!

  • The Dip Never Fails to Deliver

by MK on 4/17/25State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The Dip is an amazing live show experience. It is so evident that they love the music, and everytime I have seen them they have changed, adapted, and played with some of their records. They don't settle, and somehow sound even better in person than they do recorded (which is already incredible). Whenever The Dip are in anywhere within a few hours from me they are my can't miss show. If you want to dance, groove, and listen to some really good music I cannot recommend them enough.

  • Amazing

by Jet Jaxn on 4/15/25State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Couldn't have been a better show. Great Venue up in Portland. Found seats at the railing in the balcony 10 steps from the bar and bathroom. Warm up band was great and then the Dip came out and absolutely rocked the joint.
