ARIA award winning Fremantle foursome Spacey Jane have cemented their position as one of Australia's most-loved indie rock bands.

Their debut album Sunlight, released in June 2020, entered the ARIA chart at No.2. Four tracks would be voted into triple j's Hottest 100 including fan-favourite "Booster Seat" landing at No.2, just behind Glass Animals' "Heat Waves".

"Booster Seat" went on to win Song Of The Year at the 2021 ARIA Awards, while achieving platinum sales and accumulating over 88 million streams to date.

The band - front man Caleb Harper, guitarist Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu, bassist Peppa Lane and drummer/manager Kieran Lama - spent the first half of 2021 finally getting to playing sold out COVID safe shows across the East Coast of Australia.

"Streaming numbers and chart positions are great, and they're exciting to watch," Caleb says, "but we're a live band. To engage with fans like that, to see the music having that reach, that means everything."

The band's first taste of new material is the single "Lots of Nothing". Road tested on their sell-out tour in the first half of 2021, it pinpoints a subtle development of their sound, with intricate guitar work and Caleb exploring his falsetto.

The second single "Lunchtime" was released in October and premiered globally as a "Zane Lowe World First" on Apple Music 1.

Ā 

Spacey Jane will finish recording their second album this year and have international tours slated for early next year.

    I had been waiting to see Spacey Jane in concert since I found their music on Spotify almost 2 years ago. It was nothing short of what I hoped it would be. I canā€™t wait to see them again. I love you, Spacey Jane!!! Outstanding performance!!!!

    I saw them at the Masquerade in Atlanta last night, and I loved every second of it. Iā€™ve been a fan for awhile now and when I saw that they were coming to town I HAD TO GO! I booked with no hesitation and did not regret it!! It was a very intimate venue and experience. They performed with great spirits!! šŸ’“

    Showed up an hour and a half early and got barricade! Arlie (the openers) were great and Spacey Jane was perfect! I had such a fun time and I definitely recommend seeing them live

    The venue was super cute and obviously I loved the band. Easy to find free! parking at Teragram Ballroom which is so rare for concerts. Super interactive with the crowd and I loved the Halloween costumes. Would love for them to come back out to LA!

    i have loved spacey jane for years and i have been waiting for their tour! their show met every expectation! i saw them around halloween and each member was dressed up :) such a great show and an amazing experience

    Both Spacey and joe p put on, without exaggeration, the best live performance Iā€™ve been to. If anything, they very easily played a larger venue, but I was selfishly happy it was at Brighton Music Hall since it would be more intimate. I will without a doubt see both artists again when they return to Boston!
