Lineup was great, beautiful venue, comfy seats, everything was great!
Fabulous concert. So full of heart The songs are still running through my head and making me happy! PS — the new guitarist is amazing!
I am a huge fan…love everything they stand for, the energy and positivity they bring and the hood vibes and love they share! ❤️💕 I’ve seen them MANY TIMES and the sound quality was definitely way off for several songs. This happens at the Fox I’ve noticed, however at his time it was more than usual! I kept poking at the guys in the sound booth but hmmm…they didn’t seem to solve the issue. Mostly when Carl was wailin on bass…created a huge distortion and couldn’t hear the vocals or the violinist who came out for one song. Anyway…still love the band, and had a blast with my friends, but not their best as far as sound (the acoustic songs were beautiful) 🙏🙏👏👏
My second time seeing this guy perform and he put on an amazing show. Got everyone involved in having a great time. The positivity he exudes is palpable, endearing and hard to ignore. Was great to see him play in front of his home town.
Michael has a wonderful stage presence and he speaks to many of us old hippies!
I’ve seen Franti to many times to count, this was my 4th concert just this year and I was on his cruise in November. This was by far the BEST Franti concert I have ever attended (with the exception of the cruise). If you’ve never been to a Franti concert you’re missing out on an amazing show an incredible artist and one of the greatest experiences you will ever have. I’m a soulrocker for life!!
Michael Franti is the real deal! As a muscian, a showman, a spiritual messenger or just a guy who goes all out to make sure you leave feeling like the show was worth every penny. He is an amazing dude! He walks his talk and sings a powerful message. This was the third time I've seen him and am still in awe!
I have seen Michael Franti a couple of times and have to say that it is always an uplifting experience. No crowd shenanigans are going to go down (i.e. mosh pit, fights, yelling, etc.), just people enjoying the music and grooving to the vibe. Friends of mine who went mentioned that the songs are all a bit alike, but that doesn't detract from the entertainment value. I would say that I like a bit more of a darker exploration of the human condition through my music choices--would never be described as having the sunniest of dispositions. With that said, I can still enjoy this positive energy for an evening...before getting back into the real world. I would love to be as zen as it appears Mr. Franti is...life goals I guess. The venue was fine. Essentially a repourposed parking lot (a bit like a mini Thunder Valley outdoor amphitheater) with good sight lines and (to my surprise) good sound throughout the venue. Food trucks were on site and the beer/cider/wine/alcohol selection was good...and a money maker. All in all, a nice evening all across the board-including the fact that it was only about 80 degrees when the show started...a shock for Sacramento in mid-August.
Michael Franti just gets better every time I see him and his band. The venue was good, never been before. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The bar lines were short, and the port-a-potties were clean. I was disappointed that we could not enter the restaurant after entering the concert but, lesson learned. Plenty of room to dance and chill. They allow chairs (in a restricted area) but a blanket for the shade would be great to bring if you go. The two food trucks had lines a mile long, but the tacos were worth the wait. Seeing Spearhead is like going to church, my special kind of church ;). Crowds in Sacramento are always friendly and love to dance. This concert was no different.
