MICHAEL FEINSTEIN AND THE SINATRA BIG BAND - LIVE IN CONCERT

Michael Feinstein, the multi-platinum-selling, five-time Grammy-nominated American entertainer is touring Australia this July performing the classics from his Sinatra Project album.

Feinstein is considered one of the premier interpreters of American standards. His 200-plus shows a year have included performances at Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl as well as the White House and Buckingham Palace.

More than simply a performer, Feinstein is recognised for his commitment to celebrating America's popular song and preserving its legacy for the next generation. He serves on the Library of Congress' National Recording Preservation Board, which has been asked to ensure the survival, conservation and increased public availability of America's sound recording heritage.

Feinstein's earned his fifth Grammy Award nomination in 2009 for The Sinatra Project, his Concord Records CD celebrating the music of "Ol' Blue Eyes."  Recently, he released the CDs The Power Of Two- collaborating with "Glee" and "30 Rock" star Cheyenne Jackson - and Cheek To Cheek, recorded with Broadway legend Barbara Cook.

Get ready to witness one of America's greatest performers and his big band as they belt out all the SINATRA classics to Australian audiences.

I had a very good time. Michael is a great performer and I enjoyed all of his music. I have been following him for many years. I hope he returns to Boise in the future.

Michael was very personable and informative. His selection of songs was perfect. His diction and breath control is amazing. The Carnegie group was the perfect accompaniment. Such an enjoyable evening. Too bad it wasn't advertised more. This was an evening more people could afford if only they knew about it.

  • Awesome Show!

The Michael Feinstein tribute to Tony Bennett was awesome. It exceeded our expectation. We felt bad for Michael and the Carnagie Hall Jazz Ensemble folks having to play to such a small audience. We loved it!

Great program in a great theatre! Loved the place and the artist. We had a lot of pleasure to spend this evening with friends listening this marvelous singer. Will do it again and hope soon. The artist is one of our favorite so I can’t wait to see him again. The theatre is also a great place to enjoy show with friends. Having a glass of wine is a plus! Bravo again!!

  • Feinstein never fails to entertain

The concert at Cal State LA with superstar Michael Feinstein doing a tribute show to Tony Bennett was outstanding. I love how he shared a few personal stories that connected with the music and his respect demonstrated in doing each song exquisitely. This is my fifth time to see Feinstein, and he never has failed to entertain beyond measure.

I recently saw Mr Feinstein perform the American Standards at Tilles Center at CW Post. The vocal range was incredible and the combo band of piano , standing bass and drums were accurate and extremely melodic. The show went on for almost 2 hours with a short break after the first hour. I was completely entertained and will go to another of his concerts soon.
