About

Born and raised in Philly, crash landed in Charleston, Kevin and John Shields
are breaking into previously uncharted waters with their quirky indie hip-hop
group, Little Stranger. Between John’s melodic singer-songwriter magnetism,
Kevin’s in-your-face delivery, and an overall undeniable groove, this duo is
sure to get any audience up and moving. Stylistically reminiscent of Gorillaz
and Odelay-era Beck, Little Stranger delivers a fresh take on melodic hip-hop.
Every track brings the uniqueness and strangeness that their name implies.
For the past few years, the duo has perfected their live performance by
playing over 100 shows per year prior to the coronavirus shutdown. The group
also puts a big focus on creating arresting visual experiences through their
music videos, their own eccentric television program (LSTV), and in-house
graphics. Between their out-of-the-box creative endeavors and an
ever-increasing arsenal of new tunes, Little Stranger is poised to make 2023
another slam dunk.

    I've loved Little Stranger music for a long time. This is the second time seeing them at Ace of Spades in Sac, and somehow, the second show was better than the first. We've also gotten hooked on their openers too (Bikini Trill last year, DJ Hoopa & Wax this year). They all have great energy and would see them again.

    Attending their show in Jacksonville and in Tampa. Both shows were amazing. Great energy and they are awesome live.

    Awesome show.. these guys are just so much fun and the meet & greet was very chill.. they spent time with everyone and no one rushed you through the picture session.. Masquerade was the right sized venue for this line up although it is a little tricky figuring out how to get down to Kenny's Alley if you are not familiar.. Enjoyed Jarv and Jakob's Castle.. The sound for Dillon was not properly done and his lyrics were muffled and distorted.. Overall best LS show I have seen and I have seen them 5 or 6 times.

    Even better in a smaller venue with the light show. Damn Skippy and Jacobs Castle also were great. Really enjoyed this show!
