The FedEx St. Jude Championship is an annual tournament on the PGA Tour that has served as the first round of the FedExCup Playoffs since 2007. The tournament features four days of competition between the top 70 players at the end of the FedExCup regular season and determines the 50 golfers that will advance to the second postseason event, the BMW Championship. First played as the Memphis Open in 1958, the event has grown into a pivotal point in men’s professional golf, as well as a transformative philanthropic effort for its current namesake. The Memphis-based St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was named the main beneficiary of the tournament when the non-profit’s founder, Danny Thomas, became involved in 1970, and has since raised over $60 million to help patients and their families. In 1989, the FedEx St. Jude Championship moved to its current home at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. The 2025 tournament will take place from August 6 to 10.

The tournament is an invitational for the top 50 golfers in the world with no cut, so you get to see all 50 play the entire tournament. The visitor experience is excellent - shaded stands, cooling seats, PGA shop, and food a cut above including venues like the “pit” with 4 of Memphis’ best BBQ restaurants and “Bubbles and Birdies”.
The St Jude Invitational was a wonderful experience. Everyone involved in fan experience was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food and beverage were readily available, convenient and excellent. Parking was easy and very well organized. Shuttle buses dropped us off right at the entrance. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.
The course was in great shape and it was awesome getting to see the best in the world tee it up right in front of your eyes.
The tickets were great. The people handling the event were friendly and cooperative.
My family and I had a great time at the St. Jude invitational. The pit was really cool, the hub an indoor air-conditioning was very welcome and access to players for kids was amazing. The only reason it doesn’t get five stars is the four dollar water and no access to even a water fountain. When it’s 90° in little shade I just think you should have better options for hydration.

Had a great time and the Fed Ex St. Jude invitational. The course was awesome, staff and volunteers were the best and not to mention the golf was top notch. Will definitely make this an annual event I will attend.
The overall experience was fantastic. Top notch customer service.
Memphis is a fun city to visit and TPC Southwind is beautiful golf course. The people at the event were warm and friendly. The golfers on the practice day were signing hats and flags for the children. I saw two brothers showing off hats with over 20 signatures. We had multiple choices of food venders all around the course. All we sampled were very good. The weather was spectacular for July. Best of all was the quality of the golf played by the best in the world. Highly recommend visiting Memphis and attend the WGC St. Jude Invitational.
