  • I regret it!

    by J.W. on 11/12/24Rating: 1 out of 5

It was way too loud, and they came out late and didn't apologize for it. They spent an hour playing their new music which was bad, and they only played like one or two of their old songs. So don't spend 70 bucks on this.

  • Awesome!

I’ve seen these guys play for the past 15 years. It just gets better and better each time. The band is TIGHT. All four members can write and sing a song. They should be A LOT bigger than they are, but selfishly, I like them under the radar. You know a band is Really good when they’re greatest hits can’t fit on a double disc album. Check them out next time around, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Great intimate concert

by Chad on 10/20/23Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Deer Tick played an amazing show to a half empty theater. It was one of the best concerts I have attended due to the intimate nature of the concert. What an amazing band! Surprised the show wasn’t sold out.

  • Deer Tick tick at the Bijou

by Old dog on 10/20/23Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I did not know this band prior to going to the show. I just did it spontaneously. These guys had me locked in after that first song. They are very good musicians and put on a great show. I really like this band and I will see them again.

  • Sound was deplorable, staff was good, space clean

by Spark on 10/15/23Music Farm - CharlestonRating: 2 out of 5

Great band, clean location, pleasant staff and perhaps one of the worst sounding shows I’ve been to in years. I stood in various spots throughout the venue and some were worse than others. I’m unclear on if this was a band issue or venue. Either way, painful, literally

  • Not in The Stone Pony

by kalvera on 3/9/18The Stone Pony - Asbury ParkRating: 4 out of 5

I love Deer Tick, they are fantastic band! I have seen them quite a few times, since 2012, at Putnam Dan, The Met, Infinity Hall, Brooklyn Bowl…at a quite few more venues in new England. John McCauley is always having contact with audience, he has fun and enjoys performance himself. It’s wonderful to watch and listen. Not in The Stone pony though… I’ve seen them several years before in the stone pony, in 2014, as i remember, and it was all the same as yesterday – they performed well, but McCauley himself was miserable. You could see it looking at him - poor guy couldn’t wait for it to end. Four days before, I attended their gig at The Haunt - Ithaca, NY. It was fantastic performance. McCauley announced, that day before he was very sick, and was thinking to cancel the show, but he was touched that the show was sold out and decided to perform. At the end, the band came back for encore and played four more songs! 03/08/18, In the stone pony, which actually was sold out as well, they didn’t spend literally one extra second on the stage… Is it the venue, or town, or state? Who knows… Any way, you want to see real performance of Deer Tick, don’t go to see them in Asbury Park.
