Ordering online was easy. Receiving the digital tickets on my phone was immediate and easy. Entry in the gate was super-fast and easy!! I was worried about possible problems, but we had NONE!!
Both concerts were awesome! The bands rocked the place!
It was very easy getting my tickets! I went to the Kentucky State Fair two times and ordered my tickets online. The tickets were sent to my phone and was very easy to show them at the Kentucky State Fair entrance gate.
This year will probably be the last year we go . We got there at about sunset and between women looking like they just left the strip club, mobs of 20-30 teens just running by for no reason and a megan the stallion song blaring on and on about her Vag.....yeah no thanks. Just don't like the vibe anymore. Too many people. Really it's just a mirror of the state of our society and it's not looking good these days.
Unfortunately, the Kentucky State Fair has gotten a little stale. It's still fun and there are plenty of things to do & see, but they don't seem to be evolving much. We usually go for lunch, check out the exhibit halls and see some animals. I guess I'm spoiled because I've been to some states that have excellent fairs such as Iowa, Ohio & Wisconsin. When I've attended there, it never seems like there is enough time in the day to see everything. I wish they would bring back paid concerts so you could see a good band play instead of the same old free acts. The Oak Ridge Boys every year just don't do it for me.
The only thing I didn't like was I bought my tickets on line and when I got down there the gate was $5.00 per person and I paid $10.00 on line.
We went to the fair the first night and had a great time. The early online purchase of the tickets ($8) plus free parking was a good deal and so easy. The people at the fair were friendly, the facility was clean and there is so much to see & do. A highlight for us this year was seeing a band called Rockland Road, a family of 6 and they were great! Looking forward to next year.
The really wonderful horse show and the organization within the galleries are the best.
Love going to the fair each year. We went Sunday at 11:15 we didn't into the parking area until 12:15. We sat in traffic for one hour to get into the front gates on the fairgrounds. We had a 3 yr. with us and the whole day we stood in fairly long lines to get food, ride tickets, rides and there wasn't even a concert going on. The workers were very friendly considering how busy everything was. I know everything is busier this year but it was ridiculous how people decided to go on this Sunday afternoon. I suggest definitely going on a different day next year.
My husband and I with our adult kids and grand kids went to the Ky State Fair on a Sunday. Although there were a lot of people there we still had a wonderful time walking around looking at all sorts of things. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and later yummy ice cream.
