  • Josh Johnson-excellent story teller

by Vickirogi on 6/9/25Steelhouse Omaha - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

I stumbled across Josh Johnson on YouTube, and have been following him since. I was thrilled to discover he was going to be performing within 100 miles of my town and immediately bought tickets for my wife and myself. He is an astute observer of humans and all they manage to produce- problems, humor, characters and their behaviors that make for a great funny story. I love how he can take an event on the national scale as easily and smoothly as a personal experience and make both relatable and very funny. His ability to connect with his audience and deliver a polished but not canned performance is professional and shows his range and skills. Highly recommended- you are in for a treat. PS- some of my favorite moments are from when he's trying to keep a straight face but still manages to crack himself up. Great stuff.

  • 2 solid hours of laughter!

by Ilovelogi on 6/4/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

Josh is brilliantly funny in the most normal way. He is so observant and thoughtful yet hysterical. The two comedians before him & the Flower Girls were great as well! 2 solid hours of face splitting laughter!

  • Great show! Josh Johnson is fantastic!

by Tramelle on 6/4/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed Josh Johnson in his Flowers Tour. He is so funny. I love the way he takes everyday situations and puts a hilarious spin on them. It was a long set, but I didn't want it to end. Logan Nielsen has a far different style than Josh, but I enjoyed his set too. It was an amazing show and I can't wait for the next time they come back to my city. The flowers girls handing out flowers was a sweet touch. Fantastic show!

  • Phenomenal!!!

by Nancy V on 6/4/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely love Josh Johnson!!! His warm-ups were incredible as well. Getting to see him in person was a dream come true. I vibe with his storytelling style of comedy. The fact he doesn’t need to be profane to make us laugh is even better. Not that I mind a few cuss words…yet he is so refreshing. My style of comedian!!!

  • The Venue ruined the experience

by Nani on 6/4/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 2 out of 5

I love Josh Johnson. I watch his YouTube videos, and I've known him since his Comedy Central special days. I was looking forward to this show for months; I bought tickets in January for the June 1 show. I have never been to Des Moines, so I figured this would be even more special. From the outside, the place is nice, and I get the historical factor about the Hoyt Sherman Place...but! It is very outdated inside and does not accommodate a large number of people. The main level bathroom is just one bathroom for everyone. You have to go up to the second floor to use the bathrooms, where there were only 3 cramped stalls for the women's restroom. It was unbearably hot inside, and even when everything settled and the show started, it was still hot. The biggest downfall was the seats. They are so tiny and too close to one another. We had to sit awkwardly the whole show for our whole row because none of us were petite. My husband had to step out because it was becoming too claustrophobic for him, and the entire night we had to sit with our knees rubbed against each other because there was not enough space between rows, so you had to sit with ur legs open if you're taller than 5'5". I love my husband dearly, but rubbing our hot, sweaty knees together was a new irritation I never knew would develop. The runner-ups were great, as well as the flower girls, and Josh was incredible, but I just felt so uncomfortable the entire time I was there. I definitely want to see him again, but never at Hoyt Sherman Place.

  • Get ready to laugh

Great show with relatable stories for everyone. Get ready to laugh and have fun!

  • It was fantastic!!!

by Mp on 6/2/25Steelhouse Omaha - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! I had a blast. Got through quickly even though we got there a bit later than expected. Didn't miss anything. I think the venue should have clarified that there was another bar though. Glad we found it before standing in that long line in the outside bar.

  • Too Much Storytelling

by MrsChiks on 6/2/25Steelhouse Omaha - OmahaRating: 3 out of 5

My husband and I both did not like his show because there was too much storytelling instead of just getting to the punch line. At times, I would even loose track of the story details because it was long winded, therefore, I couldn't laugh once he finally got to the punch line. Maybe this is just his style of comedy (storytelling) but it was not for us.

  • Wonderful fresh material

by Alexis on 6/2/25Steelhouse Omaha - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

I watched his weekly standup on Tuesday on YouTube (he releases something new every Tuesday), then saw him Friday. All of his material was different. He's an incredibly talented comedian. We even got to meet him afterwards, and he was so humble and gave everyone the time to joke or tell him a story. Money very well spent. I will absolutely see him any time he comes this way.

  • Love This Guy

by Sheriff Bart on 6/2/25Steelhouse Omaha - OmahaRating: 5 out of 5

Josh Johnson's humor is smart and thoughtful. It's not the usual slap-you-in-the-face type of humor that gets tiring. He really takes time to observe life and fine the absurdities. I loved his show and would see him any time he is in my area!

  • Fantastic Comedian

by Amanda on 4/14/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Josh Johnson is the best comedian performing now. His up-to-date commentary is somehow serious without being preachy, yet funny without being irreverent. I've seen many of his Youtube videos, but the material he did in his set was so new. I highly recommend catching one of his shows.

  • Amazing Show

by Buck on 4/14/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Josh Johnson was hysterical and amazing. He had heart and spirit. Best comedy show that I have been to.

  • Josh was fantastic!

by PhyliciaTheRealtor on 4/14/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show. Josh is great and so is his target audience! Everyone was so nice and it was just good vibes! I was in the second row and was even able to make eye contact! I never went to a stand up show before and I appreciate how humble he is and how affordable the pricing was. I would definitely go again next time he is in my city!

  • Great night of smart, funny comedy

by heloteschick on 4/14/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Josh Johnson's Flowers show in San Antonio was really funny. He blended observational, everyday humor topics with very recent topical political humor. He has a unique delivery where he may seem to be going off on a tangent but then loops back around to deliver a super witty punchline. The warmup comedians were really funny too. Great night overall.

  • Flowers for JJ

by DP on 4/8/25Arvest Convention Center Legacy Hall - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Josh never disappoints! I watch his weekly YouTube releases and I'm glad to have had the experience of seeing him in person. His ability to engage audiences is top tier. I hope he visits Oklahoma again...and SOON!

  • Natural humor at its best

by Emco1977 on 4/8/25Arvest Convention Center Legacy Hall - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Josh has a unique way and taping into human nature and showing us all how alike we are and how humourous humans can be. His anecdotes are so real and relatable that you can't help but laugh. His timing. His delivery, and his physical presentation during his performances and memorable and worth the time and money to watch!

  • So much fun!

by Laura on 4/8/25Arvest Convention Center Legacy Hall - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Loved Josh Johnson, he is such a great storyteller! He had good openers as well.

  • Great Comedy, Bad Chairs

by Ryan on 4/8/25Arvest Convention Center Legacy Hall - TulsaRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the comedy, the first guy was hard to understand. My wife whose 2nd language is English had trouble understanding, but so did I and I'm a native speaker. Josh and the guy before him were great. The chairs were less than comfortable and I think it would have been a better experience in a better venue. Overall, I would go see Josh again.

  • Show was great!

by Christina on 4/8/25Arvest Convention Center Legacy Hall - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing! His openers were funny. He was funny! We got front row tickets and it was worth the money! There were girls that handed out flowers and did choreography to introduct Kish coming out. It was quite the experience! The best part is we got to meet him and he didn't charge us like a lot of comedians do.
