worth the watch. doesn't waste your time.
by skyward snake on 6/2/25The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5very tight show, no lulls. first live comedy show, so i assumed there might be things worth editing out, but no, everything was very tight.
only negative was that there were those same played out heckles from decades ago, the recommendation would be to use jim as a springboard to heckle something else, or just a joke, unrelated to jim. those went over very well with the audience that night.
couldn't find any of the jokes offensive since 100% of them were supported by their logic-puzzles, which i guess is something to note: if you're more into the humorous anecdote kinda comedy, you might find this show a bit more mentally taxing than you expected.
if you want to have more "an evening with jimmy carr"kinda thing, then the book is more what you're looking for. i enjoyed the audiobook version.
there was a distinct feel that the show was more about us than about him. respectfully didn't ignore anyone who wanted to do a shout-out.
i guess the only other thing i can add is, this isn't like how some comedians do tours with their classics hits, this is more legit.
