  • Great!

by knk on 5/21/25Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My 7-year-old son LOVED it. The actors were wonderful and talented. I appreciated the sightlines in the balcony, and how they let all the families get through a restroom break and concession line before starting/restarting after intermission.

  • Great Family Fun

My son said this was the best show ever. Kids were dancing in the theater. Adults and kids both laughed out loud. I thought the props were inventive and delightful.

  • Great show!

by Miller Crew on 5/21/25Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Fun times for all ages! I had 5 kids with me ages 11,11,13,14,16 and they all used to love the book series so I grabbed the tickets and they enjoyed it! I will say my crew was probably the oldest kids in the whole theater! Lol

  • Follows the Movie

by Bas on 5/20/25Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Ok, it’s Dogman. If your kid is into it, they’ll love it. As a parent it’s pretty dull but the performers were great. Kept the kids engaged and was 90 minutes with intermission. This follows the movie, and incorporated other Dav Pilkey characters. I hope it’s a good launch to get my kid to enjoy musicals in the future but time will tell. Overall, it was a good family outing.

  • Great Show For The Family

My son is a huge fan of Dav Pilkey books and the Dog Man series. We went as a family to see the show and it was fantastic. We were entertained the entire time. This is a great show for both kids and adults. 5 out of 5 - would watch again!!

  • Amazing Show

by CJ on 5/7/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Dog Man was an amazing musical. I took my son twice because we missed the first half the first time in Rockford IL, but the following Sunday I took him to Wisconsin to see it again. It was great and he loved it. He wants to go again. I may take him a third time. This show should come to Broadway in Chicago for an extended amount of time. It was worth the two hours drive there and back both days.

  • Just Okay

by NanaT on 5/7/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 2 out of 5

We took our 8 year old grandson who is a big Dog Man book and movie fan. Husband and I didn’t know what to expect. Grandson was being polite and said it was good. He was falling asleep! He was using his $35.00 plushy we bought as a pillow. My husband and I thought it was just okay. I should have read reviews before getting tickets. Best part was spending time with the grandson

  • Amazing

by SEE IT! on 5/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

This was AMAZING!! My 1st grade son LOVES these books. He has not stopped listening to the soundtrack at home, and he keeps asking to see it again! Amazing actors and actresses!

  • Great cast for Dog Man!

by GrandmaW on 5/4/25Coronado Theatre - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful performance! We had lower balcony seats and the kids could see and hear perfectly! The 6 person cast was phenomenal as well. My only criticism would be that candy sales are not necessary in the lobby at a 6pm showing. I would definitely attend a show at the Coronado again and especially appreciate the convenient parking across the street!

  • Not worth the $$$

by Susan on 4/29/25Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

We have all the books and enjoyed the movie so this seemed like a natural fit for my 7-year old son. Sadly, he was really bored, and I was too (but that’s sort of expected). We left at intermission because he was so uninterested. It needed to be a bit more believable or “real,” rather than utilizing so many hokey props and cardboard cutouts. Felt a bit low budget.
