About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Only in a dream

    by Charles O'Donnell on 5/12/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Although in all honesty....I have personally never got a chance to see Chicago in concert personally....I would give anything in the world to have a chance to listen to the magic that I have sang along with my entire 41 years of my life... Peter Cetera is truly a man that is just all around a wonderful and talented human being....His voice is and has always been one that is distinct....The entire Chicago band is magical....Their songs will NEVER GET OLD OR WILL EVER FADE IN TIME.....THIS IS ONE GROUP THAT WILL LIVE ON FOREVER....

  • Energetic, musical perfection !!

by NYY 15 on 4/28/25DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Putting together a set of music spanning 55 years is no easy task. Having seen Chicago 10+ times and introducing our kids 32, 29 & 25 , with our youngest a trombone player is inspirational. We’ve met Jimmy Panko a few times outside of venues and at a meet and greet and he shared his musical insight with our son for 30 minutes. Nicest guy ever!!! Can’t wait for the next show. Hopefully another EWF collaboration 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  • Awesome concert!

by Shawn on 4/26/25Harrah's Cherokee Resort Event Center - CherokeeRating: 5 out of 5

The band was tight. Digital videography on the screens was outstanding. And best of all, the vintage original members were absolutely fantastic. So pleased with the Cherokee casino venue- sound was terrific. Had a blast!

  • Great concert - Chicago still in fine form

by SultanSevy on 4/26/25The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

We saw them at the Venetian in Las Vegas. I was not sure what to expect, since Chicago has been around forever. Had they gone downhill? Did their sound change? I was pleasantly surprised. Chicago still sounded great and put on a terrific show, loaded with Hits. The drummer, in particular, was spectacular. Really enjoyed them.

  • Fun night!

by Sid M on 4/25/25The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert! The new lead singer really did an amazing job of keeping the essence of the original band

  • “Expecting more from the concert.”

by Rousbell on 4/23/25Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

It’s a show I wouldn’t go to again. I was expecting more, especially the biggest hits from their prime. I wasn’t satisfied

  • Chicago @ DPAC (NC)

by Moonchild761 on 4/22/25DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

It was a privilege and treat to see Chicago perform. As they celebrate 58 years of musicianship, their commitment to excellence in their craft has not waned. Chicago has clearly stood the test of time and maintained the integrity of their sound. While Robert Lamm was missed, Neil Donald did an excellent job on lead vocals. Shout out to Lee Loughname performing lead vocals on Colour My World. I also enjoyed lead vocals by Carlos Marguia (keyboard). Live music, powerful horns and great vocals make for a wonderful night of real music and Chicago did not disappoint. ps - Tony thank you for the guitar pick!

  • Classic!

by GtrGrl on 4/22/25DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago is one of the great bands, performing for almost 60 years. It still has 3 original members; they still have the joy and energy, unlike many bands playing hits for the umpteenth time. They played all of their hits, with the expected / anticipated arrangements and licks; that's a good thing. Some bands "update"their material, even though fans want to hear the music the same way it sounded on the radio / album. A great experience at DPAC, which is rightfully recognized annually as one of the top venues in the country.
